A water main break in the neighborhood near Loma Heights Elementary, 1600 East Madrid Avenue, has forced an early dismissal of students Thursday. As a result, there is no running water inside the building.
Parents were notified to pick up their children immediately or prepare for bus riders to arrive early at stops. Las Cruces Public Schools will post updated information as it becomes available on its website, www.lcps.net, and send text message notifications to parents if in-person classes will be impacted on Friday.
